Renfrew – Braehead

Braehead Medical Practice is a well-established training practice within Renfrew Health and Social Work Centre. Renfrew is a bustling town, situated 10 minutes from the centre of Glasgow via the M8. The experienced training team is made up of Liz Marshallsay and Robert Anderson. Liz also works with NES as TPD for Trainee Support in the West of Scotland, supporting trainees with additional support needs. Both trainers have completed the new MRCGP therefore are well placed to help GPSTs in their training.

Liz and Robert are supported by Dr Lorraine Murphy, Dr Catherine MacMillan, Dr Katie Colburn, Dr Cat Kargar and Dr Brian Maybin. They are joined by Catherine Evans, ANP, two practice nurses, a health care assistant and a full administrative team. Braehead Medical Practice is also fortunate to have an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, a Link Worker and team of Pharmacists attached to the practice. The Health Centre houses District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology and various other allied health professionals.

Braehead Medical Practice is an extremely friendly and supportive practice, where the “door is always open”. Two of our current GPs are ex trainees! We prioritise wellbeing and make time for daily coffee together. We also have various social outings throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
