Paisley – Anchor Mill

We are a friendly, enthusiastic and long established training practice in the middle of Paisley. We enjoy our role in the training of both GPSTs and of FY2s.

Our medical staff include Dr David Brydie, Dr Michael Rea, Dr Helen Milligan, Dr Rachael King, Dr Amy Cassidy, Dr Alysha Aikman, Dr Emma Wallace and Dr Michael Lawson.

Dr Brydie and Dr Milligan are our GPST trainers and have many years of experience in GP training.

We are fortunate to practice from our fantastic modern, purpose built premises with ample rooms for all our clinical staff and plenty of parking on site for our staff and patients alike.

We have a list size of approximately 9,200 with a diverse socio – economic mix.

We have daily catch ups over coffee every morning, we have regular palliative care meetings with our McMillan nurse , regular meetings with our health visitors and regular business and teaching meetings in office hours.

We arrange a robust introductory timetable at the start of ST1 posts for our new Trainees.

We have regular social, teambuilding and charity events such as nights out, ”bake offs”, physical persuits etc.

We all enjoy and value the role of teaching here at Anchor Mill and feel proud to contribute to the development of our primary care doctors of the future.
