Dr Sarah Luty and Dr Laura Simpson are experienced trainers at Dorema Surgery, Kilmalcolm. Dorema surgery is situated in the semi-rural village of Kilmalcolm which is approximately 15 minutes from Glasgow airport and 30 minutes from the West End of Glasgow. It is a very pretty village with many little shops and cafes and lovely surrounding countryside. Our patient population is 3100 and is of mixed age group.

We have three partners, Dr Laura Simpson, Dr Sarah Luty and Dr Kirsty Ormond, one practice nurse Janet, a phlebotomist Caroline, our practice manager Morag, and four part-time receptionists Lesley, Dills, Alison and Agnes, who all live locally. We have a great teamwork ethos and all enjoy working together at Dorema. Every member of the team is involved in training directly or indirectly and we all take great interest in the trainees.

This welcoming and holistic approach may be one of the reasons for our high CSA success rate. Our enthusiasm for general practice and GP training will be evident the minute you step inside Dorema’s door.
