Neilston Medical Centre is an established training practice serving Neilston, Uplawmoor and the surrounding farms. We are a 4-partner practice and have 4100 patients in a town and semi-rural setting. We are supported by a very loyal and hardworking administrative and management team. Our trainers are Bernard Conway and Peter Livingstone.

The surgery provides all the medical services of a typical general practice including joint injection and cryotherapy. We run a monthly diabetic clinic with the practice nurse providing full care for the practice’s type 2 diabetics. We also look after our local nursing home.

The structure of the practice has been specifically arranged to facilitate supervision and education assistance from the partners. Our trainee is encouraged to identify their learning needs and we are happy to help address these either in house or by arranging support elsewhere.

As a small friendly practice we have time to spend with our registrar to support and guide them through the training year. We have had great feedback from our previous trainees – two of them are now partners with us.
